Privacy Policy
Effective September 10, 2026. This covers getatks.com and the & the Kitchen Sink application at app.getatks.com.
& the Kitchen Sink is operated by Ricky O'Neal, a sole proprietor based in Illinois. Contact for anything on this page: rickyl.oneal@gmail.com.
Plain version first, because it is the part people actually care about: we do not sell your information, and we do not share mobile phone numbers or text messaging consent with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Numbers are used to run the service the number was given for, and nothing else.
Who the information belongs to
Two different groups give us information, and they are treated differently.
Business owners are our customers. They sign up for the application, and we hold their account.
Their customers are homeowners and property owners who book work with one of those businesses. We process that information on the business owner's behalf. The business owner decides what happens to it, and we do not use it to market anything to anyone.
What we collect
From a business owner:
- Name, email address, mobile phone number, business name, service area, and time zone.
- What they enter or send into the application: jobs, prices, payments received, expenses, notes, photos, and business documents.
- Text messages and phone calls they send to their assistant number, including recordings and transcripts of calls they place to it.
- Standard technical records: IP address, browser type, and timestamps of requests.
From a business owner's customer:
- Name, phone number, service address, email address if given, and a description of the work requested.
- Photos they attach to a booking request.
We do not collect payment card numbers or bank account numbers. If card payments are ever added, they will run through a payment processor that holds those details, not us.
How it is used
Only to operate the service:
- Running the business owner's account: jobs, schedule, money records, documents, and their public business page.
- Understanding what a business owner tells the assistant by text or call, so the right record gets written. Business owners confirm every write before it is saved.
- Support, troubleshooting, security, fraud prevention, and legal obligations.
We do not use this information for advertising, we do not build profiles for advertisers, and we do not sell it.
Website analytics
On getatks.com, Google Analytics loads only after you choose “Yes, use analytics.” If you choose “No thanks,” the Google Analytics tag is not loaded. You can change that choice at any time with the “Analytics choices” link in the footer.
When enabled, analytics records pages viewed, approximate location, browser and device information, referral or campaign information, and non-identifying actions such as opening the application or successfully submitting a form. We do not send form answers, names, business names, towns, email addresses, phone numbers, or free-text messages to Google Analytics. Automatic form, site-search, and outbound-link measurement are disabled, and email and known form query parameters are redacted as an additional safeguard.
Text messages and consent
A business owner opts in by entering their own mobile number under Settings, Text messages, and turning on the "Text Mary from your phone" switch. It is off until they turn it on, and the account works with it off, so it is optional. Nothing is sent to an owner who has not turned it on, and the assistant only ever replies to a message the owner sent first. Message frequency varies with how much the owner texts, typically one reply per message they send. Message and data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, STOP to opt out.
Replying STOP ends messaging immediately. Replying START restores it only for an owner who had already turned the switch on and later stopped it. START cannot create consent: an owner who never turned the switch on stays off, and nothing we send can enroll them. Initial consent happens in one place only, the Settings control described above. Mobile numbers and text messaging consent are never shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes, and are never sold.
Full messaging terms, including frequency and rates, are on the Terms and Conditions page.
Who else touches the data
We use a small set of vendors to run the service. Each one is a processor: they handle data to deliver their part of the service and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.
- Vercel hosts the website and the application.
- Google Analytics measures optional website usage only after you choose to allow analytics.
- Supabase stores the database and uploaded files.
- Clerk handles sign-in, including Google sign-in.
- Twilio carries text messages and phone calls.
- Anthropic processes the text of assistant messages so the assistant can understand them. This content is not used to train models.
Beyond that, information is disclosed only when the law requires it, or to protect the safety or legal rights of a person or of the business.
How long it is kept
Account and job records are kept while the account is open, because they are the business's own books. Delete an account and we remove its records within 30 days, except where a record must be kept longer for tax or legal reasons. Opt-out records are kept permanently on purpose: that is the only way to make sure someone who said stop stays stopped.
Security
Traffic runs over HTTPS. Each business's records are isolated from every other business at the database level, so one account cannot read another's data. Access is limited to the people who need it to run the service.
No system is perfect. If a breach affects your information, we will tell you.
Your choices
You can ask for a copy of your information, ask for a correction, or ask for deletion. Email rickyl.oneal@gmail.com and we will answer within 30 days.
If you are a customer of one of our business owners, you may also ask the business directly. They control their own records.
Text messages: reply STOP to stop them.
Children
This service is for businesses. It is not directed at anyone under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, the effective date at the top changes and account holders are notified by email.
